Mortal Kombat Mythologies - Sub-Zero (USA) ROM

Mortal Kombat Mythologies: Sub-Zero is an unexpected adventure/platformer in the Mortal Kombat tradition of violent fighting games and it's very nice.
The game develops deeply the background story of Sub-Zero, one of the most popular MK characters, as he is deceived by the evil sorcerer Quan Chi and later switches sides to have his revenge and save the world from Shinnok. During the adventure you'll meet some famous characters like Scorpion and Raiden.
Gameplay is taken straight out of the fighting games with the difference being that you can explore vast environments filled with enemies, collectible items and puzzles. At the end of each stage there's a boss to kill.
Graphics are a nice mix of 2D for characters, objects and backgrounds with 3D used for some parts. The music is OK and fits the theme of the game.
The Playstation version had cinematics with live action characters in between each stage. In the N64, because of space limitations, they're not present we get some screenshots instead.
