Lyra rates this game: 5/5Ghost Trick is the story about a ghost which has no memories about his previous life, not even his name. The problem is, the only person who can help him is about to die! That is more or less the linear flow of the game, you have to save people in order to know about your past and youself before dawn, or you are going to disappear! But the more people you save, the more you get to unfold a bigger mistery. I rated this game 5/5 beacuse it is literally breath taking; once you think you're close to the solution of that mess, here it comes a new character or event which will blow away the truth once more, until the very end. The gameplay is simple to deal with and the graphic is bright and colourful without being an eyesore. The music matches perfectly with the artstyle and the situaions and the characters structures are simply amazing. I enjoyed every second playing Ghost Trick.
Pontinho rates this game: 5/5Ghost Trick is a story of mystery and intrigue that blends fun logic puzzles with the world of the supernatural, making for an entirely new and unique experience in the handheld gaming space. Part adventure game, part puzzle game, Ghost Trick's gameplay will challenge player's brains while its distinct art elements and character designs will deliver the fun.
Cinder Block says:The story flows from beginning to end, and every mystery is solved. The animation is fluid and the characters are all quirky and lovable. Though, it is expected from the writer and producer of the original Phoenix Wright trilogy, Shu Takumi.
The gameplay pits you with puzzle like situations, where you have to use your 'Tricks' to manipulate objects into your bidding. It sounds simple enough, but as the game goes, the puzzles start to become more complex, and each puzzle carries its own split-second decisions with it.
Overall, a great game, though it's not well known.
Pinni rates this game: 5/5Ghost Trick: just hearing that title piques your interest, doesn't it?
You play as the protagonist Sissel, and he- hang on. Who is he? No-one knows. He's just died. He's now reliving as a ghost. Not just any normal ghost. A ghost who has the ability to manipulate still life objects- Ghost Tricks. The Ghost Tricks also allow Sissel to travel over phone lines and back in time, to 4 minutes before someone's death.
Back to Sissel. He's just died in a junkyard, and apparently his memory died too. he sees a woman, Lynne, get shot, so he goes back 4 minutes before her death, and that's how the chain of events of Sissel's night begins. He has this huge curiosity of his identity, and he's got until dawn to figure out as much as he can about himself. To do this, he has to make new friends and save them from the brink of death- with his Ghost Tricks.
This game was the best game I had played in a long time, and by a long time I mean a LONG, LONG time. Created by Shu Takumi, creator of Ace Attorney, Ghost Trick lives up to its creator's name- full of suspense, twists, wit, totally awesome and catchy music and high brain power requirement. Fortunately, this game isn't too hard and can be beaten without a walkthrough, though just because it can be beaten without a walkthrough doesn't mean it's hard. Fortunately, if you fail to save a person you can keep going back 4 minutes from their death as much as you like, so you have more time to work out what to do.
Beware- I did mention this game is full of wit, and I mean the funny kind of wit. Depending on what you manipulate, you can create hilarious results and endings. Hours of fun (and sidetracking). Seriously. If you don't play Ghost Trick now, you're missing out on some great fun and enjoyment.
IPITYTHEFOOLZ rates this game: 5/5You take on the role of someone who has died and lost all their memory. You learn that you can manipulate objects and also reverse the deaths of people by traveling back in time to 4 minutes before their death. Thus begins the quest to figure out your identity, but there's one catch... You only have until dawn.
