Boulder Dash (Europe) ROM

Boulder Dash is a top down puzzle adventure game where players must collect a certain number of gems to get to the next level. Each stage has its own number of gems required to progress and there are various obstacles to avoid such as falling rocks and enemies that travel along the edges of any walls in the levels. The player digs through the levels as they play which can determine things like where enemies will travel or if a rock will fall. Because of this, players can do things such as make rocks fall on enemies to turn them into gems which is necessary to beat certain levels. Boulder Dash has had many releases though each version plays pretty much the same, but with different level layouts. The series may be old and obscure, but it has left a legacy of games going up to 2016 with Boulder Dash 30th Anniversary.
