Megamaxmax rates this game: 5/5Ah, Pokemon Red. The game that started it all. Back when Pokemon were Pokemon and not just poorly made monsters. It may not have color but it makes up with the fact it was the first Pokemon to have these Pokemon, this plot, and all of the other stuff the older games copied.
Roberto Marcez rates this game: 5/5This game is purely nostalgic. It was one the first video games I've ever had. You play as Red, an anxious young trainer-to-be from the small town of Pallet. You are so impatient that you decide to walk in the tall grass just north of town. When you do, you are suddenly stopped by Professor Oak, a local authority on Pokemon. He takes you back to his lab where he gives you and his grandson, Blue, you very first Pokemon. Blue wants to try new Pokemon his out, sso you battle. After the battle, you set off north, and your true adventure begins... This game (with blue/green) was what started it all. The introduction to the world of Pokemon. Only 150 to catch, the one region of Kanto, the mafiosso-esque thugs of Team Rocket, this game is still has a place in my heart, and in my collection, too! I still have this game after 13 years! That's how great this series (and this game) is!
Extremefungi42 rates this game: 5/5Collect Poket monsters, traveling from city to city. The game is time consuming. But it's fun and addicting. You train your Pokemon to a high level in order to beat all gym leaders each with different elements and maze routes. Great game!
LordZaper rates this game: 2/5The game with the hidden trophies, each zone u can capture a creature called Pokemon (poket monsters) with the pokedex you can register each specie of kanto region. Defeat gym leaders, level up Pokemons, have fun with your friends!
Chaz rates this game: 5/5The game that started it all. Pokemon Red is still one of my favorite titles of all time and could really beat a lot of current games in terms of gameplay value.
The mission: Defeat Pokemon Gyms to obtain all 8 badges of the Kanto region, while beating your rival to the title of Pokemon Champion.
That's it. That's essentially what this game's about. Simple, yes. But it's a long journey and you'll meet new friends along the way to help you.
You build your team of 6 from a collection of 151 (yeah, I included Mew, do something about it) creatures called "Pokemon" who possess the powers of the elements in the form of attacks. This team of 6 is used to fight other trainers who block you on your way to the throne.
Sounds easy? Well it is. You go around the world collecting animals to fight other animals and become the world's best dog-fighter. It's simple, but we love it all the same.

James rates this game: 5/5You've finally been granted your Pokemon trainer's license. Now, it's time to head out to become the world's greatest Pokemon trainer. It's going to take all you've got to collect 150 Pokemon in this enormous world. Catch and train monsters like the shockingly-cute Pikachu. Face off against Blastoise's torrential water cannons. Stand strong when facing Pidgeot's stormy Gust. Trade with friends and watch your Pokemon evolve. Important - no single Pokemon can win it all. Can you develop the ultimate Pokemon strategy to defeat the 8 GYM Leaders and become the greatest Pokemon Master of all time?
Mazzzzah says:This is the first Pokemon and it definitely set a high benchmark. I read something that said that Pokemon was born perfect and I think they were right!
Qman29 rates this game: 5/5Pokemon Red is an amazing game filled with challenges. I love upgrading the pokemon and traveling the pokemon world. This game brings me back to my childhood days of gaming.

DeriLoko2 rates this game: 5/5One of the best games of the Pokemon franchise. Pokemon - Red Version (USA, Europe) is a game that was developed by Game Freak and published by Nintendo. This game features many Pokemon, many Pokemon trainers (like Red), and many items. You are the Pokemon Trainer (Red) who can capture the Pokemon and use them in battles. Blue is your rival, so you have to face Blue in order to become the Pokemon champion.
DrMarioFan1001 rates this game: 5/5Just the title screen makes me excited. Pokemon Red Version (USA, Europe) is probably the best Game Boy game ever. Either that or tied 1. with Pokemon Blue Version and Pokettu Monsuta Midori (Or Pocket Monsters Green). So in general this is TEM outta TEM (UNDERTALE reference), but I can only put in 5/5, so crap.
KillerXack rates this game: 5/5Pokemon red is a game that was paired with blue as a game pair. The concept of the game is to catch and train as many Pokemon
you can and train them to their max capacity. But while you do these you are battling the gyms throughout the regain.
applemaster9 rates this game: 5/5Remember back when you were a kid, in the late 90s? Remember bragging to your friends about how you had more Pokemon than they did? Remember how shocked you were to find out that Blue was the champion? Remember trying to catch MISSINGNO.?
Well, now you don't need to remember, 'cause thanks to Emuparadise, you can do it all over again. Now waxing nostalgic and play this masterpiece.
