While Melee remains one of the greatest games to ever grace the Gamecube's reader, it should be noted by any potential downloaders that this version is version 1.00, which contains several glitches and does not include the stat balancing implemented in versions 1.01, 1.02, and the PAL version for Europe.

Melee features game play unique in comparison to that of other fighting games. Characters have simple move sets that lack complicated button inputs and lengthy inescapable combos, instead emphasizing movement and ring outs. The game features many character appearances based on, but not identical to, their appearances in games from the Nintendo 64.

You know you got a winner when people buy the entire consoles based one game. The Halo 2 did it for the Xbox, Melee did for the gamecube.Well…not so much.
Some say it’s the best fighting game ever! I gonna say it’s the best fighting game…on the gamecube. That’s not a bad thing!

Super Smash bros Melee is my favorite fighter of all time. It's really fun to play with up to 4 people and duke it out with your favorite Nintendo characters. There also many stages to choose from and and a ton of modes to play. While the single player modes don't have much replay value after you get done with them, you'll certainly be coming back for more mostly for the multiplayer content. I say Super Smash Bros Melee deserves a 10/10 and you should definitely buy... download... or whatever.

This is my favorite Super Smash Bros Game in the series. and, i also modded mine to 20XXTE. which makes the game even more fun! this game provides endless fun and excitement to the player playing the game. 5 Stars.
