Area 88 or U.N. squadron is a side scrolling shooting game.
You play as the worlds best fighter pilot against the mercenaries that control the world. You must destroy eight overwhelming bases of the enemies. Pick from the three playable pilots, ride different Fighter planes to freedom.

It is a shooter game, with a reasonable difficulty, many powers up from ships and shots. The main goal is to attack the enemy base without their passing attack major doest, destroying planes bombers attack your base.
