… read more OverviewJetpac is a 2D shooter for the BBC Micro, ZX Spectrum and VIC-20. The game was developed by Rare and released in 1983.
Arindam rates this game: 5/5There are more than a few games that involve alien invasions of earth: Jet Pac is quite the opposite. The player controls a spaceman who (on the behalf of the 'Acme Interstellar Transport Company') is charged with testing spaceships on various planets. Gameplay revolves around gathering fuel and spacecraft parts, as well as various treasures, while shooting the native inhabitants with one's laser. Strange as it may seem, interstellar pillage turns out to be extremely enjoyable, and one is always happy to finally enter the fuelled spaceship and blast off to a new world. The game is fairly challenging, and its graphics and sound effects are quite good for their time.
In short, Jet Pac is one of the best games for the ZX Spectrum.
