At heart Arch Rivals is a simple two-on-two basketball game for either one or two players. Select one of eight characters and hit the basketball court for some serious action. Punch, lunge, and don't worry; there are no fouls in this court. You can always steal the ball, but why do that when a good punch to the chops does the same thing?
What sets this game apart from other simple basketball games is the player control and the violence. First, you select a player. During the match you do not select the CPU controlled player, rather you press there are no fouls, so pretty much anything goes.
