Living Books - Cat in the Hat (CD Windows) Game

The "Living Books" team has done it again with a fantastic rendition of "The Cat in the Hat," by Dr. Seuss. It's targeted towards pre-school children, and those learning to read... but it's such an immersive, enjoyable experience that kids (and adults) of all ages will enjoy the interaction and fun.
This "book on disc" features the most famous of all Seuss chacters, the Cat in the Hat!  Of course, all of the characters are there, including Sally and her brother, the fish, and Thing One and Thing Two! 
Children are allowed to choose whether they want to have the book read to them directly, or if they would prefer a more interactive experience.  The interaction is wonderfully done, allowing the child to click on just about everything on the screen.  They could spend an hour on just a few of the pages! 
The animation is of the highest quality, and fantastically executed.  Even the page turns are animated!  Most importantly, each of the characters are faithfully created and represented on the screen, and it feels as though the actual book has come to life!  The humor is fantastic, and little surprises are scattered throughout the game... including paintings that can be colored, and a chance to balance and rearrange all of the objects that the Cat is holding up as he stands, balancing atop the ball!
Full of many engaging screens and activities, this CD game, although made back in the 1990's, is richly created, and promises hours of learning and play for children young and old!
