Dragon's Curse (USA) ROM

This game is also known as Adventure Island & Alex the Kid in Monster Land.

You are Thrusted into the Heat of the Battle when, Creatures have Lane Destruction apon the Lands, and one knight who Stood to the Challenge to rid the lands of these Monsters. Use you trusty Sword, armour and special abilities to Slay these Ancient Pests and gain there powers to help in your quest to rid the lands and become the Savior of your Kingdom. Chop chop time.

Dragon's Curse is a side-scrolling action adventure game that has Role-Playing aspects, but no leveling. Most powers come from the equipment you get. Your player character gets this cool ability where he can turn into 6 different creatures. I would say Dragon's Cures is one of the games on the PC Engine that actually seems worth playing. Plus it's on the Nintendo's Virtual Console which makes it even better.
