Gumshoe (USA, Europe) ROM

Gumshoe is a bit misleading. It looks like Super Mario Bros. but instead of our typical chubby little protagonist we have a private eye in a trenchcoat with a lot of whisker stubble. In fact, Gumshoe is a Light Zapper game. It qualifies as an experimental game, and certainly must not have been very popular. Among the unique features of this game is that our hero will only jump when shot by the Light Zapper. Some enemies can be shot, but others must be avoided.
Gumshoe requires an extreme amount of precision and versatility with the Light Zapper. This bears repeating: you need to be extremely fast and precise. It is easily one of the most difficult NES games, but it is also one of the most frustrating ones.
