Game Description & Reviews:
OverviewThe first entry in the Zelda franchise for the GameCube, sporting a distinctive cel-shaded graphics style. It built upon the mechanics of Ocarina of Time/Majora's Mask and featured an oceanic setting emphasizing exploration and discovery.
pboldish rates this game: 5/5Beautiful graphics still, 10 years on.
This guy rates this game: 5/5Best TLoZ game I've ever played. An unforgettable experiece!
I think everyone knows what it's about!
Link is after Ganon because he has plotted to use the power of the tri-force for his own evil doings.
On top of that, his siter, and another girl were taken from him to a holding cell inside of a tower, which you later have to go to, to retrieve the girls.
Afterward, Link is on a journey to find the pieces of the tri-force, and use it specifically to defeat Ganon, and nothing else.
Jay_V08 says:One of the monumental games in the series where Link isn't going to save Hyrule from destruction, or save the damsel in distress Zelda. Instead he rescues his sister who has been captured now link embarking on a journey to save her. Battling to raging dragons and Formidable bosses in the game.
With awesome graphics and a totally cool gaming experience that will knock your socks off. Love the Legend of Zelda series!
Avoria rates this game: 5/5One of the best Zelda games with an amazing art style. Link, our hero, is not on a quest to save te kingdom or the princess, but to rescue his little sister, who was captured by a giant bird. With pirates, raging dragons, and crazy wind gods, the Wind Waker is the most memorable games on the GC console.
neilencio rates this game: 4/5Legend of Zelda - The Wind Waker's cel-shaded graphics is one of the most divisive topics in gaming, with one camp claiming that the kiddie-oriented graphics are ruining the franchise while the other praises the fresh, vibrant artistic style that breathes new life to the aging (at that time) franchise.
Outside of the 2 sides of the consensus about the graphics mentioned above, I won't bother talking about the visuals because that would be missing the point: regardless of whether you like the bold, fresh new artistic style or loathe the kiddie-oriented graphics, it still doesn't negate the fact that behind said visuals is one of the most expansive, immersive, and enjoyable action RPGs made by the big N. Play it now if you're looking for something that will grab your gaming tastes by the cojones and keep it occupied for weeks on end.
