Silent Hill is an amazing psychological horror game. Armed with only a flashlight and a few meager weapons, you're tasked with surviving the horrors of a hellish town while trying to find the main character's daughter. Multiple endings and weapons that appear after beating the game add to the replayability of this absolutely amazing (if not aged) game. Also note that the PAL version isn't as complete as the NTSC version. There is a child-like monster missing from the game, but that might be the only difference.

The PAL release of Silent Hill had some things removed of the original NTSC version. But, it doesn't avoid us of playing this exciting and scary game, that is the very first of the saga (and maybe the best). You control Harry Mason, a writer, that is on vacation with his daughter Cheryl. They go to the city of Silent Hill, and when they arrive, they crash their car. Harry wakes in his car and finds out that his daughter is missing. He runs in the middle of the fog, until an alley, where he faces what shouldn't exist. He looks like heavily injured, but he suddenly wakes up in a cafe. He talks to a police officer (Cybel) and discovers that nobody is in the town, only them (and maybe his daughter). The Konami's answer to Resident Evil, showed to be a tottaly diferent game, and sometimes even better. Definitly, worth a try.
