Pokemon - Red Version (USA, Europe) ROM

Remember back when you were a kid, in the late 90s? Remember bragging to your friends about how you had more Pokemon than they did? Remember how shocked you were to find out that Blue was the champion? Remember trying to catch MISSINGNO.?

Well, now you don't need to remember, 'cause thanks to Emuparadise, you can do it all over again. Now waxing nostalgic and play this masterpiece.

Pokemon Red is an amazing game filled with challenges. I love upgrading the pokemon and traveling the pokemon world. This game brings me back to my childhood days of gaming.

Ah, Pokemon Red. The game that started it all. Back when Pokemon were Pokemon and not just poorly made monsters. It may not have color but it makes up with the fact it was the first Pokemon to have these Pokemon, this plot, and all of the other stuff the older games copied.

The game that started it all. Pokemon Red is still one of my favorite titles of all time and could really beat a lot of current games in terms of gameplay value.

The mission: Defeat Pokemon Gyms to obtain all 8 badges of the Kanto region, while beating your rival to the title of Pokemon Champion.

That's it. That's essentially what this game's about. Simple, yes. But it's a long journey and you'll meet new friends along the way to help you.

You build your team of 6 from a collection of 151 (yeah, I included Mew, do something about it) creatures called "Pokemon" who possess the powers of the elements in the form of attacks. This team of 6 is used to fight other trainers who block you on your way to the throne.

Sounds easy? Well it is. You go around the world collecting animals to fight other animals and become the world's best dog-fighter. It's simple, but we love it all the same.

This is the first Pokemon and it definitely set a high benchmark. I read something that said that Pokemon was born perfect and I think they were right!
